2nd Week of Prayer: Day 3 – His Mission, the Co-Mission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” – Matthew 28:18-20
Discussion Points for Your Family…
- According to Matthew 28:18-20 what does Jesus say His disciples are to do?
- Since we are His disciples, what are we doing to be “on mission” with God?
- Discuss ways we can become intentional about the Lord’s command to “make disciples.”
- How will the new buildings be a part of the Co-Mission?
PRAISE…
Spend time together praising God for who He is.
“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before Him, for dominion belongs to the LORD and He rules over all the nations.” – Psalm 22:27-28
CONFESSION…
Allow God to search you asking Him to reveal any sin in your life.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16
THANKSGIVING…
Spend time thanking God together for equipping us for His good work.
“…for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purposes.” – Philippians 2:13
PRAYER POINTS…
- Ask God to give us His heart for the lost.
“In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” – Matthew 18:14 - Pray that each one of us will be prepared to share our testimony of what Jesus has done in our lives.
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have.” – 1 Peter 3:15b - Ask God to show each one of us what our part is in the building of His Church.
“From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” – Ephesians 4:16
