2nd Week of Prayer: Day 7 – Rejoice!

“I know, my God, that You test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly Your people who are here have given to You.” – 1 Chronicles 29:17

DISCUSSION POINTS FOR YOUR FAMILY…

  • Talk about all that God could do with the new buildings.
  • List some things that God has taught us during this Week of Prayer and devotion.
  • Rejoice and give thanks for our God provides exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or imagine.

PRAISE…
Praise God for His strength and power in our lives.

“The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God and I will exalt Him.” – Exodus 15:2

CONFESSION…
Spend time acknowledging your sin before God.

“Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD, and You forgave the guilt of my sin.” – Psalm 32:5

THANKSGIVING…
Give thanks that we serve a God who loved us before we loved Him.

“Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.” – John 14:21

PRAYER POINTS…

  • Pray that God would be honored in all we do in the building of His Church.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” – Psalm 127:1a
  • Ask God to help us see where He is working and strengthen us to join Him on mission.
“Jesus said to them, ‘My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working…’ Jesus gave them this answer: ‘I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can only do what He sees His Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.’” – John 5:17, 19
  • Pray for the lives the new classrooms represent and for followers of Christ to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 3:18
